Hey, you better use template {{talofa}}, not {{welcome-alt}}. --7elteven (talk) 10:23, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Edwin Symonowicz[edit source]

Hello. I would like to note that Edwin Symonowicz is not a cross-wiki spam, he is one of the most famous Polish singers. I've contacted the global sysop who yesterday deleted all articles of Edwin Symonowicz in all Wikipedias and he told he did it by mistake because initially believed it's spam. I would like to ask you, if possible, to remove spam template and improve the article. I believe your knowledge of Nauruan language is better than mine. Thanks. -- 11:38, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Apologies, but which global sysop was it? SHB2000 (talk) 11:39, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

It was User:Praxidicae. Leaderboard (talk) 12:35, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
Verified this guy. SHB2000 (talk) 12:39, 12 May 2021 (UTC)

Blocking accounts[edit source]

There is absolutely no point in blocking an account that has been globally locked. Leaderboard (talk) 14:19, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Also admins are already IP-block exempt on their local wikis, there is no need for you to assign the flag separately (unless you are editing through Tor nodes for some reason). Leaderboard (talk) 14:20, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
I was just learning to do this so I tested it on locked accounts plus if it's globally locked, then it does no harm. SHB2000 (talk) 21:33, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Additionally, I'm hiding his edits, as far as I know, GRP has reverted some of my reverts - this stopped until they were revdel'd. And since this is an LTA, I'd do it on the safe side. SHB2000 (talk) 08:04, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
And to your last comment, my admin status is ending in three months time. SHB2000 (talk) 09:12, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
In that case just ask for a renewal. Leaderboard (talk) 09:13, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I was told to do that in 3 months. SHB2000 (talk) 09:14, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

advice[edit source]

Ekamawir omo. I wank to ask for advice. Maybe we should rename the article Niu Djiran to Djiran Tsimeduw, Papua Niu Gini - Papua Gini Tsimeduw and so on? --7elteven (talk) 15:12, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

If that's the name used in Dorerin Naoero, then go for it. SHB2000 (talk) 21:43, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. I don't really know what name is more used in Dorerin Naoero, but I can see some articles where people use the word "tsimeduw" instead of "Niu" Some time or other I will go to Nauru and ask native speakers which word is used more. --7elteven (talk) 12:25, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
No worries. Also 7elteven, if you could help me with the phrasebook I started on the English Wikivoyage and it would be great if you could help. It currently is still an outline. The link is here: en:voy:Nauruan phrasebook. Cheers, SHB2000 (talk) 12:30, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
You sent the wrong link I think. I think it is the right link. --7elteven (talk) 12:35, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
Sometimes I get the issue of putting voy:en: instead of en:voy which takes me to a completely different page. SHB2000 (talk) 12:38, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
