User talk:Gertjan R./Bwiema peij
Hehe, Belgian man, I see You're first with the idea of the new face of the homepage of Na.Wiki (I wanted to start in a few days but firstly to finish my previous projects ;P). I'll see it further because it's 6:10 morning and I still haven't slept (ha! ;P) but please take a look at my list of categories which I've done on the base of all more than 100+ Wikis. I think it looks quite better than the "main category" of countries... ;P I also think that "Iturin categories" is a bad choice when we would start with sth like this below:
Nauru: Nauru, Districts, Nauruan language, Notable Nauruans, History of Nauru, Nauruan anthem
Natural and Mathematical Sciences: Astronomy, Biology, Botanics, Chemistry, Ecology, Geography, Mathematics, Medicine, Physics, Earth Sciences, Zoology
Psychology and Social Sciences: Antropology, Archeology, Biographies, Economics, History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Sociology
Culture: Art, Education, Film/Cinema, Litterature, Languages, Music, Mythology, Religion, Sport, Theatre, Turistics
Technical Sciences: Agriculture, Architecture, Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Transport
Countries by continent: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Oceania,
Wikipedia: What is Wikipedia?, FAQ, Edition help, Portal for Wikipedians ??? ---
Also of course I'd like to focus You on this page - http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/List_of_articles_all_languages_should_have ;) --Artur Lion 17:56, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- The yellow category list is the list of the "Main" categories. :-) Belgian man 17:16, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry...but I don't understand - "yellow category list" ? --Artur Lion 17:56, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- I mean "the yellow frame with the categories on the main page" :-) Sorry, I didn't know how to translate the Dutch word kader in English (= frame) ;-) Belgian man 17:58, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- I think You've meant ORANGE not yellow frame (ramka in Polish ;P), this one have those 2004, 2005, eb, ecclesia etc. categories... I think we should start our Nauruan homepage with categories as na.wiki would have a few thousands articles with at least a few in every categories. That would start a good source of Nauruan language in "encyclopedia use" ;) So in conclusion I think we should think about many categories (I'll compare my list with Your proposition in a few minutes/next edit) but AVOID this "eb" and "iturin categoires". In my opinion that shouldn't be on the homepage. It could be "deeper" but not on the first view... From the first moment, I think, na.Wiki should look as a professional source of knowledge in Nauruan, not only a trials/samples of Nauruan language multiplied by the number of countries. That we do know that's true and we're do still learning Nauruan! But the first view should be professional... Hehe ;) --Artur Lion 22:12, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- That sounds funny but it was "easier" for me to create new proposition of homepage http://na.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Artur_Lion/Bwiema_peij than only list all categories which leads nowhere in fact ;P --Artur Lion 00:33, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for your comments. Belgian man 17:47, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
